Wow!!! Just Wow, check out Sheila and her amazing story

After the deaths of my 15 year old, my husband, my only sister and 2 more loves of my life…..It was more than my mind, heart and soul could handle. I was an emotional, physical and mental mess…….and I ate to try and fill the void.

It was about this time last year that my twin daughters took me to Cancun for Mother’s day. I was a complete mess. They had wheelchairs waiting for me at the airports. I couldn’t walk very far at all and breathing was very hard. When I would go and see the girls, I would wake up with one of them standing over me checking to see if I was breathing. I knew I had to do something. I kept seeing my friends having great results with Skinny Fiber. I have been overweight my entire life and was very skeptical about another product. But, I knew I was just waiting to die or I could give it a shot. I figured every product deserves more than a month so I ordered the buy 2 and get 1 free. This is me after being on Skinny Fiber for about 6 months. I am off of 3 medications and down on the dosage on 2 others. My doctors are amazed at how good my blood results are now.
Please don’t be like me and keep waiting. Just do it and you will be glad you did. This is the only product I would ever endorse. I see the results that it can help you with. I became a distributor so I could literally help people that have struggled like I have. Please message me if you have any questions. You can go to my link and order yours today

Macadamia Nuts…YUM

10155696_10201982916593803_7790803072560005972_n

Macadamia nuts are rich, flavorful nuts native to the continent of Australia, although they are also cultivated in Hawaii.

The nuts grow in extremely hard kernels which are very difficult to crack open. This is one of the reasons why macadamia nuts are so costly, since they are challenging to shell. Once cracked, the shell reveals an ivory colored kernel which is rich in oil with a buttery, creamy flavor. The nuts may be eaten out of hand, roasted, or ground into nut butter. Many people pair macadamia nuts with white chocolate in confections, and they can also be found in nut mixes and other desserts.

Because macadamia nuts are so high in fat, you should refrigerate them for the longest shelf life. If kept at room temperature, the nuts may go rancid. Try to use macadamia nuts quickly in either case, as they generally taste better fresh.
Toasting also highlights their flavor; to toast macadamia nuts, either roast them in a heavy pan or bake them, turning them occasionally until they turn golden brown.

Fats: Macadamia nuts comprise 84% monounsaturated, 3.5% polyunsaturated and 12.5% saturated fatty acids. Being low in cholesterol and high in monounsaturated fatty acids which are “good” fats, macadamia nuts help in the body’s manufacture of essential fatty acids by maintaining the balance between omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids as well as increase the production of protective high density lipoproteins while suppressing the unhealthy low density lipoproteins. Hence, one of the most important macadamia nut health benefits is that being low in saturated fats and cholesterol, these nuts reduce the risks of heart diseases, stroke, anti-inflammatory diseases, anti-aggregatory diseases and immunomodulating diseases.

Protein: Macadamia nuts are rich in essential and non essential amino acids which play an important role in the body’s muscle formation, connective tissues and blood plasma development and overall well-being.

Carbohydrates: These nutritional nuts are a good source of sugars, sucrose, fructose, glucose and maltose, and some other starch-based material.

Minerals and Vitamins: Macadamia nuts are loaded with vitamins like vitamin E, thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin, pantothenic acid (B5) and folate, and minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and calcium. Hence, the nuts promote healthy bone and teeth formation, as well regulate the body’s fluid balance and immune system. Also they enhance our nervous system and promotes healthy skin and hair.

Dietary Fiber: Dietary fibers are nothing but roughage or complex carbohydrates that give a feeling of fullness and reduce appetite. Hence, macadamia nuts are rich in complex carbohydrates like lignans, hemicellulose, amylopectins, mucilage, gums and insoluble cellulose which promote desirable intestinal bacteria, slow digestion, and reduce constipation, hunger pangs, irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive problems.

Phytonutrients: Macadamia nuts are good source of phytonutrients or phytochemicals like tocopherols and tocotrienols, (derivatives of Vitamin E), the biologically active components in the body that help remove free radicals which oxidize blood fats and damage healthy cells. Hence, their antioxidant properties reduce the possibilities of certain types of cancer like breast, cervical, gastrointestinal, lung, stomach and prostate cancer.

Moreover, regular intake of the macadamia nuts serves in the growth of new tissues, slow down the aging process and denigrates birth defects.

Macadamia Nuts Side Effects
Macadamia nuts are safe as food, and they seem to be safe as medicine for most people. They can cause an allergy, but this is rare. Health care providers sometimes recommend macadamia nuts to promote digestion and relieve constipation, but eating too many of them may lead to constipation or diarrhea in some people.

In a preliminary study in which volunteers ate a diet containing large quantities of ground macadamia nuts for one month, researchers saw no negative side effects, and these results were similar to findings from an earlier study in which volunteers ate a diet containing large quantities of ground macadamia nuts for one month. Despite an increase in the proportion of fat in their diets, volunteers showed no significant change in weight or cholesterol levels. No negative side effects from eating the macadamia nuts were observed.

Adapt & Overcome

Well I’ve been blogging about a week now, and still getting used to all the settings, have yet to figure out how to “Share” post’s once they hit Facebook, there is an option to do so  but it pops up with an error when I try to share it…I will keep playing with settings till I master this problem, lol. It’s a little crazy trying to juggle watching and attending to G-babies and trying to do my business online but this to will settle into a routine I’m sure. I am really enjoying all this New Tech stuff my mind is absorbing, who would have thought a 51 year old G-ma could conquer the Tech world…I recently had a Birthday with family and friends and had a great time, all were present and then some, I’m blessed to have so many who love and care about me. Once I get settled into all the technical stuff and everything is running smoothly, I’ll be starting to get back into my crafting and share some of those things with you, my Fabulous Followers and perhaps you’ll give me some feedback to help me along. For now I’ll bid you ado and continue my struggles with troubleshooting all these tech options till I conquer my issue… Love & Hugs Cindie

12 REASONS TO LOVE LAVENDER OIL

1606947_10204049379742960_7918856917653304398_n

Who knew all these great tips?

1- Potpourri
Add a few drops of oil to your potpourri, dry or silk flowers (NOT on wood furniture!!)

2- Bath
For aching muscles or stress relief, add 4 drops of oil to your bath. You can also add a handful of Epsom salts.
Sit back, relax and soak away your tensions!!

3- Cuts/ Scrapes
Spray on lightly some Lavender oil on the affected area. It’s a great disinfectant that will not “kill” the “good bacteria”
on the skin!!

4- Fatigue
Add 5-8 drops of oil in a hot foot bath to soak your feet (which are particularly porous, so it reaches your bloodstream
quickly, soothing various systems of your body!!)

5- Insomnia
A few drops or a light “squirt” on your pillow case for a sweet sleep! (I’ve personally done this too, by adding a little
pouch of lavender “buds” inside my pillow case…works great!!) For babies, add 3 drops of lavender oil in their bedtime
bath water.

6- Disinfectant
To sterilize household surfaces, add 10 drops of lavender oil to a small squirt bottle (can be found at the Dollar Store).
Spray on surface, wait 30 minutes. Not necessary to wipe off. (NOTE: NOT to be used on wood furniture or wood surfaces to
be safe!) You can use it to disinfect toilets, sink handles, telephone receivers, light switches, etc…

7- Burns
After cooling the burn under cold, running water for approx. 5-10 mins (or more), gently apply oil to affected area.
This should help lessen the pain immediately.

8- Headache
Massage a few drops of lavender oil into your forehead, your temples, nape of neck, and the inside of your wrists.

9- Acne
Apply 1 drop of oil on the affected area (pimple) inhibits the bacteria that causes the infection & helps rebalance the over secretion of sebum.

10- Insect Bites
Applying 1 drop of lavender oil on an insect bite will soothe itching and inflammation. Dab on as soon as possible.

11- Moths
Hang little fabric bags or pouches (can be found at the Dollar Store, if you cannot find a substitute at home) amongst your woolens in your closet, and refresh with oil from time to time. It’s a deterrent, but not a guarantee!

12- Fungus
T.V.’s Dr Oz says that lavender oil (3 drops), when rubbed into the finger or toe nail (several times a day) has anti-fungal properties! (Re-apply after washing your hands or bathing)
NOTE: Store your oil AWAY from heat & light to preserve its properties.

What is Skinny Fiber

Skinny Fiber is unlike any weight loss supplement out there because not only is it all-natural and stimulant free, you will you lose weight and reap the benefits of becoming healthier!!               –> Video

What is Skinny Fiber?
This is EVERYTHING you could possibly want to know about Skinny Fiber.
Imagine if you could swallow a sponge, and then drink water and that sponge swell up and make you feel full..and then that sponge could capture 30-40% of everything you digest…imagine the most powerful digestive enzymes that do nothing but attack your number one store area for fat and break it down, so now you are eating less, and what you are eating almost half is being absorbed so your body can not access it, and on top of that the enzymes are literally attacking your fat stores….that is skinny fiber…it’s a no fail kind of diet

Skinny Fiber is a pure, all natural nutritional weight loss supplement that comes in the form of a capsule. It is a super detox on a cellular level! It has no nasty side effects, unlike other dietary supplements that make your heart pound and make you feel jittery.

What is in Skinny Fiber?

It contains 3 main plant ingredients:

Glucomannan- a unique all natural soluble dietary fiber that expands 50 times its size in your stomach helping you overcome the #1 enemy of weight management … overeating. In addition to the amazing support for your weight loss goals, on its way through the body, glucomannan supports the colon, thereby supporting the digestive system.*

Caralluma- a plant, in the cactus family, that has been used as a natural appetite suppressant and thirst quencher in India for centuries, particularly in times of famine.* Caralluma fimbriata is also believed to help support weight management.* It is believed to block certain enzymes that form fat in the body.

Chá de Bugre- a small tree found in Brazil- very successful in suppressing the appetite and believed to fight cellulite. Can be roasted and made into a coffee substitute and is a good heart tonic that stimulates circulation. It’s also used in Brazil and Haiti as a tea to help relieve cough, regulate renal function, reduce uric acid, and externally to heal wounds.

As well as 7 digestive enzymes and antioxidants:

Beyond supporting digestion, certain Digestive Enzymes can play a major role in weight management.*Enzymes are responsible for every single chemical reaction in every single cell of your body. The enzymes found naturally in raw foods are very sensitive to heat (cooking) and most processed foods are completely void of the enzymes your body desperately needs to properly digest your meal. If you cannot get enough nutrition from the food you take in, your body just wants more.

Amylase- an enzyme that helps digest carbohydrates. Breaks down starch and turns them into a natural sugar which gives the body energy. Also found in the pancreas and the glands that make saliva.

Protease- a digestive enzyme needed to digest protein. It liberates amino acids needed by the body. Used as therapy for benefits in oncology, inflammatory conditions, blood rheology control, and immune regulation.

Lipase- a digestive enzyme needed to digest a healthy amount of fat our bodies need. It hydrolyzes lipids, the ester bonds in triglycerides, to form fatty acids and glycerol. Dissolves fat throughout the body, improves metabolism, and aids in overall detoxification process.

Glucoamylase- also turns starch into sugar for easy digestion

Papain- a protease enzyme found in the papaya plant and is used to treat gastrointestinal problems such as stomach ulcers and indigestion. Breaks down heavy proteins to make them easy to digest and absorb into the body and works well against Celiac disease, shingles, and herpes. It also shortens the healing time of some injuries and surgery.

Cellulase- sustains blood sugar, maintains good level of cholesterol, supports cell membranes to keep them healthy from free radicals, toxic chemicals, and breaks down biofilm to help detoxify the intestinal tract as well as major organs.

Bromelain- enzymes found in pineapples, used for digestive support. It treats inflammation following surgery primarily of the ear, nose, and throat as well as other infections and injuries. Aids heartburn when used with amylase and lipase and reduces diarrhea.

Each bottle has 120 capsules in it. If you take 2 capsules before your two largest meals of the day, it works out to roughly $2.00/day…

Watermelon Seeds, Did YOU know?

Watermelon Seeds

 WATERMELON SEEDS

Who would of thought that watermelon seeds had so many great health benefits. They are packed with nutrients that are very different from benefits of watermelon sweet, juicy pulp. Before you spit out those seeds think about what they could do for your health.

Sun dried watermelon seeds are very popular. They contain iron, potassium, vitamins, fats and calories which is important for everyday nutrition. Watermelon seeds should be chewed before swallowing if its nutritional content is desired.

Watermelon seeds can also contribute to a healthy diet. Like many other seeds and nuts, watermelon seeds provide a source of healthy unsaturated fat. The seeds’ main benefits, though, come from their mineral content. Consume roasted watermelon seeds as a source of essential minerals to help maintain healthy tissue and prevent disease.

IRON
Roasted watermelon seeds come packed with iron. Just an ounce of seeds contains approximately 2 milligrams of iron — 25 percent of the recommended daily iron intake for men and 11 percent of the RDA for women, according to the NYU Langone Medical Center. Iron helps you make hemoglobin and myoglobin, proteins that help transport and store oxygen in your tissues. Iron also promotes liver function and nourishes your immune system.
MAGNESIUM
Roasted watermelon seeds provide a source of magnesium. Magnesium supports your metabolism so that your cells can produce the energy they need for day-to-day functioning. It also helps your body store energy by helping you make lipids, aids in cell migration and plays a role in cell communication. Each ounce of roasted watermelon seeds provides you with 146 milligrams of magnesium — 35 percent of the RDA for men and 46 percent for women, according to the Linus Pauling Institute.
COPPER
Roasted watermelon seeds nourish your hair and skin because of their copper content. You need copper to produce melanin — the pigment that gives your skin and hair their color, and also helps protect you from the sun’s harmful rays. It keeps your connective tissue strong and resistant to damage and promotes healthy nervous system function. Watermelon seeds’ copper content also plays a role in iron transport, so it can be used to make hemoglobin. An ounce of roasted watermelon seeds boosts your copper intake by 192 micrograms and provides 21 percent of the RDA, according to the Linus Pauling Institute.

SERVING TIPS and IDEAS
Try making seasoned roasted seeds at home — a sprinkle of cinnamon or a mix of lime juice and chili powder are two flavorful options. Add some crunch to your salad with a handful of seeds, or use roasted watermelon seeds along with dried fruit in home-made trail mix. If you opt for pre-roasted watermelon seeds, make sure to check the nutrition label before you buy — seeds roasted in oil and seasoned with salt might come loaded with unwanted fat and sodium. Eat your roasted watermelon seeds in the same meal as fruits and vegetables, since vitamin C — a nutrient found in many fruits and veggies — helps your body better absorb the iron in the seeds. Citrus fruits, red peppers, raspberries and strawberries all provide considerable amounts of vitamin C to boost iron absorption.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE of Watermelon seeds
Watermelon seeds are packed with nutrients including fatty acids, essential proteins and lots of minerals. Around 100 gram of watermelon seeds provide around 600 calories same as having 10 loaves of bread. Around 400 calories come from fats in watermelon seeds. Fat content in 100 gram of watermelon seeds is around 80% of daily dietary requirement of fats. Around one third of watermelon seeds is proteins, mainly highly essential proteins like lysine.
MINERAL AND VITAMINS
Watermelon seeds are good source of vitamin B like Thiamin, niacin, folate. Watermelon seeds are rich in minerals like magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, Zinc, Iron, potassium and Copper. 100 grams of watermelon seeds provides around 139%, 87%, 82%, 74%, 44%, 20% and 37% of daily dietary values of these minerals respectively. Watermelon seeds are also good source of dietary fibers which are essential for healthy bowel movements and digestion.

Eating Watermelon Seeds and Uses of watermelon seeds

Globally watermelon is widely consumed, but in most places watermelon seeds are discarded. In Asian and Middle Eastern countries, watermelon seeds are collected, dried and roasted for eating. Watermelon seeds are also used in making soups or other beneficial products like watermelon seed oil, watermelon seed tea and watermelon seed extract are made.

Cooking Watermelon Seeds: We all read how nutritious watermelon seeds are. We can just roast them and eat them as snack. These roasted watermelon seeds can also be used to garnish salads. Oil obtained from watermelon seed is used as moisturizer for skin. Watermelon seed oil finds its place in some of skin care products and cosmetics. Sometimes watermelon seed extract is used instead. Watermelon seed extract is considered as home remedy for stomach and urinary tract related disorders.

Tea from ground watermelon seed is also consumed in some parts of glob. It is because of health benefits of watermelon seed tea, it is considered to improve health of kidney. Research is ongoing to confirm this health benefit of watermelon seed tea.

How to make roasted watermelon seeds

Collecting watermelon seed from watermelon we eat is first process. Dark colored watermelon seeds should be preferred. These collected seeds shall be washed well, removing any pulpy matter. These washed seeds should be dried. You can dry them under sun if you want. These dried seeds should be fried with some oil. Keep stirring the seeds till they look completely roasted. Add some salted water to this pan, and keep heating the seeds till the water is evaporated and seeds are completely dried. Avoid overheating the seeds as you do not want the nutrients especially vitamins to be removed and enjoy completely the health benefits of watermelon seeds. These salted, tasty watermelon seeds can be stored and enjoyed as munching snack. Roasted and salted watermelon seeds remains as one of the traditional Egyptian snacks. These seeds can also be ground into cereal and used to make bread or used in stews and soups.
Health benefits of Watermelon seeds

Essential Amino Acids – Amongst all the amino acids body requires, there are some known as essential amino acids which body cannot produce. These include arginine, lysine and others. Skin Benefits of Watermelon Seeds
There are two ways in which watermelon seed can be beneficial for your skin. Either you consume watermelon seed and seek healthy skin. Alternately you may use watermelon seed externally and enjoy benefits for your skin.
Watermelon seed are rich in Vitamin B3 or niacin which increases production of ceramides and fatty acids responsible for protection of skin. Study shows that topical use of niacinamide (vitamin B3) provided improvements and prevention of aging facial skin. It reduced fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, red blotchiness and skin sallowness. It made skin more elastic.

Watermelon seed is also high on magnesium which helps prevent skin infections like cold sores and rashes. Zinc is another mineral found in watermelon seeds which plays vital role in cell growth and regeneration. Skin cells are in constant process of generation and regeneration. Zinc helps keep skin cells healthy. Zinc also controls production of oil in skin and thus useful for acne and other skin disorders.

A healthy skin is often correlated with healthy bowels. Ever noticed you suffered from constipation or had bloated stomach and you had acnes on skin. Skin acts as an excretory organ, and excretes harmful toxins from body. In case of bad stomach, skin assists in removal of toxins which often blocks in skin pores and results acne or boils. Dietary fibers in watermelon seed helps bowel movements and thus keeps skin healthy.
Watermelon oil contains essential fatty acids helpful for skin, it eliminates any toxins from skin, helps keep skin fresh and elastic. Watermelon seed Oil is obtained from crushing dried watermelon seeds. It is used in hair care products as non greasy high moisturizer. BODY

Brown Sugar Lemony Body Scrub
This particular scrub has lemon, which works as a natural disinfectant. It will open up and cleanse clogged pores. The oils from the mixture will leave you with soft, healthy glowing skin.
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sea salt
2 tbsp coconut oil or olive oil
1 tbsp of honey
2 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tbsp of your favorite essential oil (I recommend bergamot for energy, eucalyptus or spearmint for stress relief and lavender or jasmine for something more relaxing.)
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until it turns into a paste. Apply to moist skin in circular motion using your fingertips to help skin cells slough off faster. Rinse off with warm water. Apply your favorite moisturizer. Results: smooth, soft glowing skin.

Milk Foot Soak
Add 4 cups of warmed whole milk, 2 tablespoons of Epsom Salt and 6 drops of your favorite essential oil such as lemon, sandalwood or lavender to warm footbath. Soak for 20 minutes. Use the Brown Sugar Lemony Body Scrub to remove dead skin on feet.

Invigorating Coffee Scrub
Coffee contains Magnesium and Vitamin E. It also acts as an antibacterial, exfoliating and stimulating agent. Brew a fresh pot of coffee. Use 3 tablespoons of the fresh grounds and 1 tablespoon of salt and mix in a bowl. Scrub mixture over body within 20 minutes of brewing before oxidation occurs.

HAIR

Avocado Conditioning Mask
Mash an avocado (two for long hair) in a bowl with a fork until it is a thick, rich paste. Add a couple of drops of your favorite essential oil for fragrance (optional.) Spread the paste on the hair from the root to the ends. Leave on for 20 minutes; then shampoo out and rinse out. Results: shiny, smooth stronger, moisturized hair and added vitality to dull, dry hair.

Olive Oil Deep Hair Conditioning Mask
This is an excellent treatment if you swim in a chlorinated pool on a regular basis. Beat two eggs (three for long hair) and add in three tablespoons of olive oil. Add your favorite essential oils for fragrance (optional.) Apply a liberal amount to hair from root to tip. Wrap hair in warm towel and rest for about 30 minutes. After you rinse, you will notice how soft, shiny and manageable your hair will be. Do once a month (twice for dry hair).

Natural Blonde Highlights
For natural blonde highlights that are worthy of the finest salons, add 1/4-cup lemon juice to 3/4-cup water and rinse your hair with the mixture. Lemon juice acts as natural bleach. Apply a small amount of leave-in conditioner to hair to moisturize. Sit in the sun until your hair dries. Remember to moisturize with sunscreen before lying out. To maximize the effect, repeat once daily for up to a week.

TEETH

Strawberry Bleach Mask
Celebrities, such as Catherine Zeta-Jones, swear by this. This natural mixture will remove any stains and discoloration on your teeth. Crush one ripe strawberry and mix 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. Apply the mixture on teeth with toothbrush and let it set for 5 minutes; then brush with your regular toothpaste. Repeat once a week.

FACE

Honey Oats Face Scrub
Combine 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon finely ground almonds, 2 tablespoons dry oatmeal and some lemon juice or yogurt to a luxurious and exfoliating facial scrub. Massage mixture gently onto face; then rinse with warm water. Use favorite moisturizer afterward.

Yogurt & Honey Mask
Mix 1-part plain yogurt and 1-part honey and apply to clean, moist face. Let it set for 10-15 minutes and rinse well with warm water. The mixture moisturizes, hydrates and soothes the skin. Honey can be used as a minor acne treatment.

Banana Facial Cream
Mash 1/2 of a ripe banana until creamy. Apply on face and leave for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and cold water to close pores. Pat dry.

Lemons are an incredibly alkaline food, believe it or not. Yes, they are acidic on their own, but inside our bodies they’re alkaline (the citric acid does not createacidity in the body once metabolized). As you wellness warriors know, an alkaline body is really the key to good health.

3. Helps with weight loss
Lemons are high in pectin fiber, >>> * which helps fight hunger cravings. *It also has been shown that people who maintain a more alkaline diet lose weight faster. And, my experience is that when I start the day off right, it’s easier to make the best choices for myself the rest of the day.

4. Aids digestion
The warm water serves to stimulate the gastrointestinal tract and peristalsis the waves of muscle contractions within the intestinal walls that keep things moving. Lemons and limes are also high in minerals and vitamins and help loosen ama, or toxins, in the digestive tract.

5. Acts as a gentle, natural diuretic
Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials because lemons increase the rate of urination in the body. Toxins are, therefore, released at a faster rate which helps keep your urinary tract healthy.

6. Clears skin
The vitamin C helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes. Lemon water purges toxins from the blood which helps keep skin clear as well.

7. Hydrates the lymph system
